A.G. Simpson Plant
Shortly after purchasing this 110,000 square foot manufacturing facility in 1989, A.G. Simpson decided to change the color of the building to orange, their corporate color.
The change to orange from the building's original bright blue represented a drastic color change. The refinishing system provided extremely high "hiding power" and the high quality pigments used will ensure long lasting fade resistance.
The coating thickness was closely controlled to ensure that it would retain
its elasticity as surface temperature fluctuations caused the substrate to expand and contract. This flexibility minimizes the pressure created at the bond line where the refinishing enamel contacts the old coil coating. If the application had been too thick, the coating's flexibility would have been reduced to a point where the finish would fail prematurely.
