After Painting

IBM Office Complex

The factory applied metallic urethane coating on the embossed steel composite panels covering IBM's 2 million square foot office complex had begun to chalk and fade. IBM needed a solution that would return the building to its original brilliance.

The unique architecture of the complex posed some challenges related to access and the extensive landscaping had to be preserved in solving the problem.

On the advice of the original supplier of the panels, Induspray was chosen to test and provide the solution. After a detailed analysis of the site was completed, test panels were prepared using specially designed profiling equipment. Silicone caulking residue contamination on the panels was completely removed as part of the preparation prior to the application of the fluoropolymer refinishing system. To correct water drainage problems, Induspray also removed and then installed a new caulking system and flashing retrofit on the whole complex.

Induspray used environmentally friendly procedures and materials that addressed the concerns of IBM and provided the most cost effective long-term solution.
