Painting/Painters of Pedestrian Safety Walkways in Factories, Warehouses & Industrial Facilities
Installing pedestrian safety walkways is one of the quickest ways to increase workplace safety for workers in a manufacturing plant or warehouse.
Pedestrian walkways, also known as pedestrian aisles or safety walkways, are designated areas of the floor in warehouses and factories intended for those on foot. Safety walkways may lead to specific areas, fire exits, or storage zones, or just keep pedestrians in a designated “safety zone” and on the safe side of dangerous moving equipment (lift trucks, manufacturing equipment, etc.). Pedestrian safety walkways are typically implemented using a combination of colour-coded painted areas and lines.
The intent behind pedestrian walkways is to improve safety; to keep people walking apart and separated from forklift trucks and other vehicles, thus helping to reduce the incidence and possibility of accidents in the workplace. Pedestrian walkway safety is something which employers, safety managers, and those designing workplaces must pay close attention to.
OSHA recommends separating pedestrians from lift trucks by providing clearly visible designated pedestrian safety walkways or pedestrian aisles.
We have been installing safety pedestrian walkways for decades, and can usually have the whole process completed within one weekend or two days during the week, depending upon the operating hours of the facility.
